About That Amnio

The news is not good. In fact it pretty much sucks.

Everything looked okay at the beginning of today's ultrasound until near the end. The baby does not have some of the heart structures they expect to see at this point in a pregnancy. This could be a result of genetic problems (trisomies) or could be developmental problems.

We will go for another ultrasound in 10 days when the cardiac assessment team is available (assuming the heart is still functioning by then).
